Noc Walpurgi is a Night of Witches, celebrated in some parts of Europe on the last night of April (April 30th). The night is named after Saint Walpurga, an 8th century nun from Germany who is credited with bringing Christianity to some parts of Europe. On Noc Walpurgi, people light bonfires and make sacrifices to Walpurga to protect them from evil and bad luck. They might even dance around the bonfires or wear costumes to look like witches. Noc Walpurgi is an old tradition that is still celebrated today!
