Noise map

Okay kiddo, so have you ever noticed how sometimes it can be really loud outside, like when a truck drives by or someone is using a leaf blower? Those loud sounds are called noise.

Well, noise maps are like special maps that show how much noise there is in different places. Just like how a regular map shows you where different things are like streets and buildings, a noise map shows you where the noisy places are.

Scientists and engineers use special machines to measure the noise in different areas and then they color code the map to show how loud it is in each place.

This can be really useful for lots of things! Like if someone wants to build a new hospital or school, they might look at a noise map to make sure it's not too noisy in that area. Or if someone is trying to study how noise affects wildlife, they can use a noise map to see where the quietest places are.

So in short, a noise map is a special map that shows how much noise there is in different places and can be really helpful for lots of different people.
