Nok culture

Okay kiddo, so the Nok culture is something that happened a very long time ago in a place called West Africa. People who lived in this area about 2,500 years ago made some really cool sculptures and art out of clay.

Now, imagine you're playing with Play-Doh, and you roll it into a ball. Then you start pressing your thumbs into it to make eyes, nose, and a mouth. That's kind of like how the people who made the Nok sculptures did it. They used their fingers and tools to shape the clay into all sorts of cool shapes, like humans, animals, and even weird monster faces.

These sculptures were very important because they tell us a lot about how the people who made them lived. Some people think that perhaps the Nok culture were some of the first people to use iron to make tools and weapons. That's pretty cool!

Unfortunately, we don't know too much about how the Nok culture lived or what they believed in because they didn't leave behind written records. But we do know that they were really creative and had some super amazing artistic talent!
