ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Non-sovereign monarchy

Alright kiddo, so a monarchy is a type of government where a king or queen is in charge. A non-sovereign monarchy is a little different because it means that the king or queen doesn't have full power over everything like they would in a regular kingdom.

Think of it like this: when you're playing with your friends, sometimes you get to be the leader and make all the rules, but other times you might have to share that responsibility with someone else. That's kind of like how a non-sovereign monarchy works.

Basically, the king or queen in a non-sovereign monarchy still has some power and responsibilities, but they have to work with other people like leaders of other countries or elected officials to make decisions. They might also have to follow certain rules and laws that are already in place, instead of just making up their own rules.

So it's kind of like being a leader, but with a few extra rules to follow and some friends to work with.
