Non-spiking neuron

A non-spiking neuron is like an electrical switch in your house. It takes in an input and then turns that input into an output. When you switch on the lights in your house, you are giving an input and the switch gives an output by turning the lights on. A non-spiking neuron is similar in that it takes an input (like a number or a letter) and produces an output (also a number or a letter). The difference is that a non-spiking neuron does not "spike," which means it does not produce a burst of electrical activity. Instead, it is just constantly producing an output, based on the input it is given.
