Nonallergic rhinitis

Okay kiddo, so sometimes when we breathe in air, our nose gets a bit runny or we might sneeze. This can happen even when we don't have any allergies. This is called nonallergic rhinitis.

Our nose has a special lining inside it, and sometimes it gets irritated or inflamed. This can be caused by things like pollution, weather changes, strong smells, or even certain medications.

When our nose gets irritated or inflamed like this, it can cause us to have a runny nose or feel like we have to sneeze. Sometimes, we might even have a stuffy nose or itchy eyes too.

So nonallergic rhinitis is just the fancy name for when this happens, but it's not because we have an allergy. It's just our nose getting a bit upset for various reasons. But don't worry, it's usually not a big deal and goes away on its own!
