ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

North Korea

North Korea is a country in Asia. It is a small country that has a border with South Korea and China. In North Korea, the government controls almost everything the people do, like what schools they go to, what jobs they can have, and even how people dress. North Korea also has a leader, called a dictator, who makes all the rules and laws and has total control of the country. People in North Korea don't have freedom to do things like people in other countries do — like speak their mind, practice their religion, or travel. North Korea is a very dangerous place for people to live, and many people have left the country to find a better life.
