North Korea–South Korea relations

North Korea and South Korea used to be one country before the Korean War happened in the 1950s. After the war ended, North Korea and South Korea became two separate countries. They don't get along very well and are not friends. They are both still trying to find ways to get along better and be friends, but it is sometimes hard for them to do. They have had some small successes, like when North Korea sent athletes and a team to the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea.
