Norwegian child welfare services are people who help take care of children who might need some extra help or protection. There are lots of different reasons why a child might need help, like if they are not safe at home, if their parents are sick or cannot take care of them, or if they are having problems at school.
The child welfare services work with families to make sure that the children are safe and healthy. They have special people called "social workers" who talk to the kids and their parents to learn more about what's going on in their lives.
If the social worker thinks that the child is in danger or that something is not quite right, they look for ways to help. They might talk to the family about getting some extra support or maybe even moving the child to a new home if that's the best thing to do.
The goal of the child welfare services is to make sure that all children in Norway are safe and happy. They have lots of different ways of doing this, like working with schools and clinics, talking to parents and kids, and even helping families get the things they need to take care of their children.
