ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Nuclear matter

Nuclear matter is like a huge group of tiny, tiny balls called atoms that are all mashed together really tightly.

Just like how you might have a bunch of marbles in a jar that are all touching each other, the atoms in nuclear matter are so tightly packed together that they cannot move around much.

Nuclear matter is also much, much denser than regular matter because there are so many atoms squished into one tiny space.

Scientists study nuclear matter because it can help them understand things like how the universe was first created, how stars work, and how different kinds of particles interact with each other.
