ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Numbered company

Okay kiddo, sometimes when grown-ups want to start a business, they give it a special name called a "company". But sometimes they're not sure what to name it, or they want to keep their business private, so they give it a number instead of a name. This is called a "numbered company". It's like giving your business a secret code that only you and other grown-ups who know about it can recognize. So instead of saying "I started a business called 'Happy Home Cleaning Services'", they might say "I started a business as '1234567 Ontario Ltd'". Does that make sense, kiddo?
