ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Numbered-node cycle network

Hey kiddo, have you ever seen a bike path with signs that have numbers on them? That's called a numbered-node cycle network!

It's like a spider web of bike paths and each section is given a number. So when you start biking, you can look at the sign and see what number section you're in. Then, you can follow the signs with the numbers to get to where you want to go by making turns at certain intersections.

It's kind of like playing a game of connect-the-dots where the dots are the numbers and the lines are the bike paths.

This makes it easy for people to get around on their bikes without getting lost. Plus, it's more fun and safe because you can explore more places and don't have to worry about getting lost.

Pretty cool, right? So next time you're out biking, keep an eye out for those numbered signs and have fun following them to your destination!
