Nurdles are tiny plastic beads that are used to make many things like plastic bottles and containers. Imagine little colorful candies that are very small, but not sweet or yummy. These nurdles get melted together to make bigger pieces of plastic, just like when you put a lot of Legos together to build something big. Unfortunately, sometimes nurdles accidentally fall out of trucks or boats and end up in the ocean or in the sand on the beach. This can be bad for animals like fish and turtles because they might mistake the nurdles for food or get tangled up in them. So it's important for us to be careful with the nurdles and make sure they don't end up in places where they shouldn't be!
