Nure-onna

A nure-onna is a creature from Japanese mythology that looks like a cross between a snake and a woman. Imagine a long, slithery snake body with a woman's head and arms.

Now, this nure-onna is very tricky and sneaky. She likes to hang out near water, like a pond or river, and wait for humans to come by. When someone passes by, she uses her long tail to wrap around them and drag them into the water.

Once a human is in the water, the nure-onna takes her chance to attack. She has long fangs that she uses to bite and poison her prey. Yikes!

But, not all nure-onna are completely bad. Some of them are known to help fishermen by bringing them fish. Others are seen as protectors of pregnant women.

So, if you ever come across a nure-onna, be careful and stay away from the water! And remember, not all of them are bad, some are actually quite helpful.
