ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Nuristani languages

Nuristani languages are a group of languages spoken by people in a place called Nuristan, which is in Afghanistan.

Just like how you speak English at home but your friend speaks French because they live in France, people in Nuristan speak different languages because that's where they live.

These languages are different from other languages spoken in Afghanistan. They have different words and sounds that people use to communicate with each other.

Some of the Nuristani languages are very different from each other, just like how Spanish and Chinese are very different from each other. But even though they are different, people who speak these languages can still understand each other because they are from the same place and have similar cultures.

Overall, Nuristani languages are an important part of the culture and identity of the people who live in Nuristan.
