The Nuwaubian Nation was started by a man named Dwight York, who wanted to create a community of people that all believed in the same beliefs and followed the same spiritual guidelines. The Nuwaubians' beliefs and practices are based on African culture, mysticism, and ancient teachings. They dress in colorful clothes, often with African designs, and use special symbols that represent their beliefs. They also practice rituals, prayers, and even hold public events where they can come together and celebrate their beliefs.
