ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Nyquist rate

The Nyquist rate is like a speed limit. It tells us the fastest you can go without making mistakes when sending or receiving information. It's like the fastest a car can go on a highway without getting a ticket or crashing. If you try to go faster than the Nyquist rate, you'll get errors in the information you're sending or receiving - kind of like crashing your car if you go too fast on the highway.
