This type of regionalism has been used to reduce poverty, improve human rights, and promote stability in areas of the world. Open regionalism can also be seen as a way for countries to work together in order to solve global problems like poverty and climate change. In order for open regionalism to be successful, countries must work together and respect one another's autonomy and sovereignty.
