Objectification is when someone treats a person more like an object than a human being. For example, someone objectifying you might look at you and not see your personality, talents, values, experiences, and life—instead, they might just see your body parts, outfit, or how you look. Objectification can happen in different ways, like someone making jokes about your body or a person consistently staring at you or talking about your physical appearance. It makes the person being objectified feel like their worth only comes from the way they look, instead of the whole person.
