ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Oghur languages

Oghur languages are a group of languages that people used to speak a really long time ago. They were spoken by groups of people who lived in different areas around the world, like Central Asia and Eastern Europe.

Now, imagine you have a bunch of toys that look really different, but they all belong to the same group. Just like that, oghur languages may look different from each other, but they actually belong to the same group. They have similarities and things in common that make them part of this special group.

One really interesting fact is that oghur languages were spoken by some groups of people who were really powerful and important in ancient times. For example, the Huns were one group of people who used to speak an oghur language.

But even though these languages were once spoken a lot, they are not used as much anymore. Like some of your toys may be very old and not used anymore, not many people use oghur languages today.
