ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Oil terminal

An oil terminal is like a big gas station for oil. Just like how we go to a gas station to fill up our cars with gas, big trucks and ships go to an oil terminal to get filled up with oil so they can travel around the world.

But the oil terminal isn't just a gas station. It's a really big place that has lots of tanks where they store the oil. The tanks are like big containers where the oil stays until it's time to be shipped to different places.

There are also big pipes and pumps that move the oil around the terminal so it can be loaded onto the trucks and ships. And there are people who work at the oil terminal to make sure everything is done safely and to keep track of how much oil is coming in and going out.

So, imagine a really large gas station with lots of tanks and pipes where people work to make sure the oil is stored and shipped safely. That's an oil terminal!
