Omission of New Zealand from maps

Okay kiddo, have you ever seen a map before? Maps are like giant pictures that show you what different places in the world look like. But did you know that sometimes maps can leave out important things?

One of those important things is New Zealand. New Zealand is a country made up of two big islands and lots of smaller ones. But sometimes when people make maps, they forget to include it!

It might seem silly, but this can be a big problem for people who live in New Zealand or want to travel there. When New Zealand isn't shown on a map, it can be hard to know where it is or what it looks like. It can also make people feel like their country isn't as important as other places in the world.

So why do maps sometimes leave out New Zealand? Well, there are a few reasons. Sometimes it's just a mistake – someone forgets to put it in or doesn't even know it exists! Other times, it might be because New Zealand is pretty far away from other countries and might not seem as important to some people.

But no matter what the reason is, it's still important for maps to show New Zealand. After all, it's a beautiful country with lots of amazing things to see and do. And just like how you're important and should be included in everything, New Zealand is important too!
