Transience is when things change or go away over time. Imagine you built a sandcastle on the beach. It looks really pretty and you’re really proud of it. But then, as the tide comes in, the waves wash over the sandcastle and it slowly disappears. You might feel sad that your sandcastle is gone, but it’s just a part of nature that things don’t last forever.
The same thing happens in life, too. Sometimes we have really good times, like when we’re playing with our friends, or when it’s our birthday and we get cake and presents. But then those times end, and we have to go back to our regular routine. Maybe we won’t see our friends again for a while, or maybe we won’t have cake again until the next birthday.
That’s what transience is – the idea that nothing lasts forever, and that things change over time. It can be a little bit sad to think about, but it’s also what makes life interesting and full of surprises. Just like the sandcastle on the beach, everything has its time, and then it’s time to move on to something new.
