On the Equilibrium of Planes

Imagine a plane like a seesaw. When there is just one person in the middle of the seesaw, it stays perfectly balanced with the person in the middle. That's because the weight of the person is equally spread out on both sides of the seesaw, so both sides are balanced. The same thing happens with a plane. Its weight is evenly spread out over the wings and its tail. If the weight of the plane was concentrated in one spot, like if someone was sitting on one wing, it would be tilted and wouldn't be able to fly.
