ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

OpenGL

OpenGL (which stands for Open Graphics Library) is a set of tools that lets developers create things like 3D images and games. It's like a set of colors, shapes, and other materials that someone can use to create pictures, animations, and games that can be displayed on a computer screen. It's the same type of technology many video game companies use to create their games, and it works by connecting the computer to a graphics card. It communicates with the graphics card's processor to render 3D images and objects.
