ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

OpenSSL

OpenSSL is a computer program that helps make sure that the things you send over the Internet - like emails, pictures, and passwords - stay private and secure. It does this by encrypting the data, which means it changes it into a code that no one else can read. When the data reaches its destination, OpenSSL helps unlock the code and turn it back into its original form.
