Orbital welding

Orbital welding is a special way of welding things together. It's like using a really fancy robot to melt two pieces of metal (or other stuff) so that they stick together.

When we weld things, we usually use a person with a welding machine to move it around while it melts the metal. But when we use orbital welding, we use a machine that moves around the welding machine for us!

The welding machine is attached to a special device that rotates it around the metal that needs to be welded. This helps the machine make a very precise circle of melted metal.

Orbital welding is really good for making sure that the welds are very strong and even. This is important for things like pipes that need to carry liquids or gases without leaking. It can also work in really tight spaces, where it would be difficult for a person to fit and move the welding machine around.

So, with orbital welding, a fancy robot helps melt metal to make a really strong and even weld.
