Order (distinction)

Order is a way to put things in groups based on how much they are alike. For example, if we want to group animals, we can put all the ones that have fur in one group, and all the ones that don't have fur in another group. This way, we can easily tell them apart.

A distinction is a way of separating something from others based on certain characteristics. For example, if we want to distinguish between dogs and cats, we can say that dogs have fur, while cats have fur and whiskers. This helps us tell the difference between the two animals.
