Orders of magnitude (voltage) is a way of measuring the amount of electricity that is flowing through something, like a wire. It is measured in volts (V). When we talk about orders of magnitude, we divide the voltage into smaller and smaller amounts that are easier to talk about. For example, you might have 1 Volt (1 V) or 1,000 Volts (1 KV), or 1,000,000 Volts (1 MV), or even 1,000,000,000 Volts (1 GV). In each of these cases, we are talking about different amounts of electricity - 1 V is a lot less than 1 GV. So when we talk about orders of magnitude, we are talking about how big or small the voltage is - how much electricity is flowing through a wire.
