Orders, decorations, and medals of Australia

Hi there little one!

Have you ever heard of medals? They're these shiny things that people wear on their chest to show off that they did something really special or important.

Well, in Australia, they have a whole bunch of these medals, and they call them Orders, Decorations, and Medals. Let me break it down for you:

Orders are like super special medals. They're only given to people who have done really amazing things for Australia, like helping the country during a crisis or doing something really brave or selfless. If you get an Order, it means you're like a hero!

Decorations are sort of like medals, but they're not quite as special as Orders. They're given to people who have done really good things, but not necessarily something super amazing. Like, if somebody does a really good job helping the community, they might be given a Decoration.

Medals are the most common type of award. They're given to people who have done something good or served Australia in some way. Like, if somebody serves in the military, they might be given a medal for their service.

All of these awards are really important, because they show that somebody has done something to help Australia or make it a better place. People wear them with pride to show that they've made a difference in their country.

I hope that helps you understand a little bit about Orders, Decorations, and Medals!
