Ordu-Baliq

Ordu-baliq is the name of an ancient city that was located in what is now modern-day Mongolia. A long, long time ago, many people lived in this city and it was very important to the people who lived there.

This city was established during the 8th century and it was the capital of the Khitan Empire for over 200 years. The Khitans were a group of people who were known for their strong military and their skill in horseback riding.

Ordu-baliq was a very big and important city because it was at the center of trade between China and the Western world. This means that many merchants came to Ordu-baliq to buy and sell goods such as silk, spices, and tea.

The city had a lot of big buildings that were made of wood, stone, and mud, and it was surrounded by tall walls to protect it from invaders. There were also many temples, palaces, and markets for the people to use and visit.

However, over time, the city started to decline and eventually it was abandoned. Today, people can still go and visit the ruins of Ordu-baliq to learn about the history of this ancient city and the people who lived there.
