Organizational network analysis is like drawing a map of all the people in a big group, like a school or a company. Just like you know where all the streets are in your neighborhood, this map shows which people talk to each other and how often.
To draw the map, we ask everyone in the group to fill out a special form that asks them who they talk to and how often. Then we can use special tools to turn all that information into a picture that shows all the people in the group and how they are connected.
This picture can help the leaders of the group make better decisions, because they can see who the most important people are (the ones who talk to lots of other people) and who might be left out (the ones who don't talk to anyone). It can also help people understand how they fit into the group and how they can work better with others.
