Oriental despotism

Oriental despotism is a way of ruling that is found in certain parts of the world. In oriental despotism, there is one ruler who has complete power over the people. This kind of ruler typically doesn't have to follow the laws or obey any other leaders. Everyone else has to follow their orders and must do what they say. The people are usually not allowed to have any say in how the ruler makes laws or rules the country.
