Orihon

Orihon is a special kind of book that people in ancient China and Japan used to write on. It's a bit different from the normal books you might see today because it doesn't have a spine or a cover like those books do. Instead, the pages are all rolled up and stored inside a special case, kind of like how you might roll up a poster and put it inside a tube.

To use an orihon, you have to unroll the pages and lay them out flat so that you can read or write on them. Because the pages are all connected, you can keep unrolling and unrolling them until you get to the end of the book. When you're done reading or writing, you just roll everything back up again and put it back inside its case for safekeeping.

Orihon were used for all kinds of things, like writing down stories or poems, keeping track of important documents, or even drawing pictures. They were popular in China and Japan for centuries because they were so easy to store and transport--you could just slip an orihon into your bag and take it with you wherever you went!
