So imagine there was a lady called Mary who lived a long time ago in a country called England. She loved Jesus very much and wanted to show her devotion to him.
One day, in a dream, Mary saw an angel who told her to build a special house, called a shrine, where people could come and pray to Jesus. The angel also told Mary that the shrine would be a special place where miracles might happen.
So Mary obeyed the angel's message and built the shrine in a town called Walsingham. People from all over England soon heard about the holy site and began visiting to pray and ask for Mary's intercession.
Over the years, numerous miracles and healings were attributed to Mary's intercession at the Walsingham shrine. And so, "Our Lady of Walsingham" became a beloved devotion in England and beyond.
Today, the shrine still stands in Walsingham and countless pilgrims continue to visit to seek Mary's help and intercession.
