ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Out of memory

Imagine that your brain is like a computer. When you learn new things or remember something, your brain saves that information in its memory. However, just like a computer, your brain has limited memory space. It can only hold a certain amount of information before it becomes overwhelmed.

Now imagine that you were given too much information to remember all at once. You might start forgetting things that you just learned or become very slow to remember anything new. This is called running out of memory.

Similarly, when a computer program needs to use more memory than the computer has available, it will display an error message saying "out of memory." This means that the program cannot continue to function properly because it needs a certain amount of memory to do its job.

To fix this problem, you can either close some programs or delete unnecessary files on your computer to free up memory space. In your brain, you can take a break or try to focus on one thing at a time to avoid overloading your memory.
