Outdoor water-use restriction

Outdoor water-use restrictions are rules about how much water you can use outside. The reason for these rules is so that everyone will have enough water to use, even during times when there is not a lot of water available. To help make sure people use the right amount of water outside, some cities and towns may have outdoor water-use restrictions. That means they will tell you how much water you can use, like how often you can water your lawn or if you can fill up a pool. People who don’t follow these rules can get in trouble, so be sure to check with your city or town about the water-use restrictions before you use any extra water outside.
