Outtake

Okay kiddo, you know when you take a deep breath in and fill your lungs up with air? Well, when you let that air out, that's called an outtake.

Outtake can also mean when people make mistakes during filming a movie or TV show and they have to do it again. It's like when you color outside the lines and have to start over.

In the music world, an outtake is a song that didn't make it onto an album. It's like when you have a bunch of toys and you pick some to play with but leave others in the toy box.

So basically, an outtake is just something that comes out after being held in or something that didn't make the final cut. Like when you let out a big burp or when your mom cuts the crusts off your sandwich but throws them away instead of giving them to you.
