Overseas censorship of Chinese issues

China is a country with its own government and rules. Sometimes, people from other countries want to talk about things that are happening in China, like events or opinions about the government. This is called free speech. However, the Chinese government sometimes doesn't want people from other countries to talk about these things.

To make sure that people from other countries don't talk about these things, the Chinese government can block websites and other ways people communicate on the internet. This is called censorship. They do this by making it so people from other countries can't access certain websites or use certain social media apps like Twitter or YouTube to talk about Chinese issues.

For example, if someone in America tries to go on a Chinese website that talks about sensitive issues, they might not be able to see it. Or if someone tries to post a video on YouTube about China, people in China might not be able to see it because it's censored.

This can make it hard for people in other countries to learn about what's happening in China, and it can also make it difficult for people in China to hear different opinions from people in other countries.
