ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

PONA number

A pona number is a special kind of number that is used in a made-up language called Toki Pona. Imagine you have some apples, and you want to give them to your friend. If you have one apple, you can say "one apple". But in Toki Pona, they would say "pona mu", which means "good fruit". So a pona number is a way of counting things using simple words that describe positive or negative qualities of an object. For example, instead of saying "two apples", you might say "pona lili luka tu", which means "good small hand two". It's a fun and creative way to think about numbers and language!
