Pacific Proving Grounds

Pacific Proving Grounds is a name given to a part of the Pacific Ocean where the United States of America used to test nuclear weapons. It is also known as the Marshall Islands, as it is located in the Marshall Islands, an area made up of over a thousand small islands located in the Pacific Ocean. By testing these weapons, scientists were able to learn more about the effects of nuclear explosions and study how these weapons can be used safely.
