ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Pai slash

Okay kiddo, so imagine you have a pizza. Now imagine you want to divide that pizza equally between you and your friend. How do you do it? You make a PAI slash!

A Pai slash is just a line drawn through the middle of something to divide it into two equal parts - just like how you divided the pizza with your friend. The line is usually drawn in a diagonal direction, from the top left to the bottom right, or from the top right to the bottom left.

This slash is actually used in computer programming and math too! It helps us to show that we're dividing something equally or to represent a fraction (which means a part of a whole).

So next time you see a Pai slash, you'll know it's just a fancy way of dividing things into two equal parts!
