Pakistani pickle

Okay kiddo, pickles are foods that are preserved in vinegar or saltwater. Pakistani pickles are special kinds of pickles made in Pakistan. They're usually made with vegetables or fruits like mangoes, lemons, or carrots, and are mixed with spices to give them lots of flavor.

To make Pakistani pickles, first, the vegetables or fruits are washed and cut into small pieces. Then, they're mixed with salt and left to sit for a little while. This helps to get rid of any extra water and make the pickles have a nice crunch.

After that, lots of spices are added to the mix, like mustard seeds, fennel seeds, and coriander. Sometimes, even chili peppers are added to make the pickles super spicy.

Then, the mixture is packed into a jar with a tight-fitting lid and left out at room temperature for a few days. During this time, the pickles ferment, which means that bacteria start to break down the sugars in the vegetables or fruits. This makes the pickles tangy and gives them a nice texture.

After a few days, the pickle jar is moved to the fridge. There, the pickles continue to ferment slowly, and the flavors become more complex over time. Pakistani pickles can be eaten with all sorts of foods, like rice, bread, and curries. They're a tasty way to add some spice to any meal!
