ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Pan-Latinism

Pan-Latinism is like when you and your friends learn about different languages and cultures that come from places where people speak languages that are like yours. It means being proud and curious about people, food, and music from all the countries where people speak similar languages that are similar to yours.

For example, if you speak Spanish, you might feel connected to people from all over South America, Central America, the Caribbean, and Spain. Even though there are differences in the language and culture, you can see similarities in the food, music, and traditions. And because you all speak the same language, you can share your ideas and feelings more easily.

Pan-Latinism is about celebrating those similarities, and working together to promote them. It's like trying to build a big family of different countries and cultures that share the same roots. By learning about other people's experiences and challenges, we can grow together and inspire each other to create great things. Basically, it's all about finding joy in our connections with others who share our language and cultural heritage.
