ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Paper armour

Hey there kiddo! Do you know what armour is? It's something knights and soldiers used to wear to protect themselves from getting hurt during battles. Now, imagine instead of metal, they made the armour out of paper. That's paper armour!

Paper armour is made by folding and layering pieces of paper together to create a thick, protective coat. It looks a lot like a suit of armour but it's not as heavy or strong. Paper armour was actually used in some cultures in the past, especially in Japan. Samurai warriors made it out of a special kind of paper called washi, which is strong and durable.

Paper armour wasn't as good as metal armour, but it was still useful. It was much easier to make and cheaper than metal armour, and it still provided some protection. Plus, it was much lighter than metal armour which meant the warriors could move more quickly during battles.

So that's it, little one! Paper armour is just like regular armour but made out of paper. It's not as strong but still helpful and easy to make. Pretty cool, huh?
