Parable of the Budding Fig Tree

Okay kiddo, let's talk about the parable of the budding fig tree. This is a story that Jesus told his disciples a long time ago.

So, imagine you have a fig tree in your yard. In the springtime, the tree starts to grow little buds and leaves. This means that soon, the tree will start to produce fruit.

Now, back to the story. Jesus told his disciples that when they see the fig tree start to bud and grow, they know that summer is coming soon. He also said that when they see all the signs around them, like wars and rumors of wars, they will also know that the time for his second coming is near.

Jesus used the budding fig tree as an example to teach his disciples to always be ready for his return. Just like the fig tree, when they see the signs, they must be prepared for what is to come.
