ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Partial zero-emissions vehicle

Imagine you have a toy car with two kinds of fuel. One is regular fuel that makes the car go like normal, and the other is a special fuel that doesn't pollute the air so much.

Now, a partial zero-emissions vehicle or PZEV is kind of like that toy car. It's a car that uses both types of fuel too. When it's driving normally, it uses regular fuel just like any other car. But when it's not driving, or when it's cruising at a low speed, it switches to the special fuel that doesn't pollute very much.

In other words, a PZEV is a car that produces less pollution than normal cars. It still uses gasoline, but it also has some special features that make it better for the environment. These features can include things like extra catalytic converters, better fuel injectors, and computer-controlled engines.

So, a PZEV is a car that's like a regular car but also tries to be kinder to the planet by using special technology to reduce its pollution.
