Particle number

Particle number is a way to describe how many miniature pieces are in something. For example, if you had a bag of marbles, the number of marbles in the bag would be the particle number. It could be 5 marbles, 10 marbles, 15 marbles etc. Each marble would be one particle, and the total number of marbles would be the particle number.
