Pas kontuszowy

There is a special piece of clothing called a pas kontuszowy. It comes from Poland and it's kind of like a belt, but it's much longer and more decorative. It's usually made of silk or embroidered wool and it has big tassels at the end.

People used to wear the pas kontuszowy with fancy clothes called kontusz. The kontusz was like a long robe that went down to the person's ankles. It was worn by rich people who wanted to show off how fancy they were.

The pas kontuszowy was worn on top of the kontusz and was tied around the waist with the tassels hanging down. It was supposed to make the person look even fancier and more important.

Nowadays, the pas kontuszowy is mostly worn for special occasions like weddings or traditional celebrations. It's still really pretty and people like to wear it to show respect for their culture and traditions.
