ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Passive radiator (speaker)

A passive radiator is like a helper speaker that doesn't make sound but helps the main speaker make better sound. It's like having a friend who helps you do something better but they don't get any credit for it.

The main speaker makes sound by moving back and forth really fast, like a ping pong ball bouncing back and forth on a table. The passive radiator helps the main speaker move by bouncing back and forth too, like a friend who helps you push something heavy.

The cool thing about a passive radiator is that it doesn't need electricity to work. It works just by bouncing back and forth with the main speaker. This means that the main speaker doesn't have to use as much power to make better sound because it has a helper!

So, a passive radiator is like a special helper speaker that doesn't make sound but helps the main speaker make better sound. It's kind of like a friend who helps you push something heavy, but they don't get any credit for it.
